If you’re looking for an opportunity to invest and live at the same time in the Philippines, then the Special Investor’s Resident Visa (SIRV) can be the perfect investment visa for you. It is a non-immigrant visa that lets you and your dependents stay indefinitely in the country as long as you maintain the required investment.
Eligibility. To qualify for SIRV, you must be at least 21 years old, in good health, with no derogatory record, and not a restricted national. Interestingly, your legal spouse and unmarried children under 21 can also qualify as your SIRV dependents.
Benefits and Privileges. Apart from indefinite residency, the visa also offers multiple-entry privileges, exemption from exit clearance, and tax-free importation of personal goods.
SIRV Requirements. You’ll need to invest at least US$ 75,000 in approved sectors—such as publicly listed companies, those in the Investment Priorities Plan (IPP), or businesses in manufacturing and services. You’ll also need to submit key documents like application forms, clearances, medical certificates, and proof of investment.
Visa Application Process. To get an SIRV, you must first apply for a Probationary SIRV and meet eligibility requirements and deposits. Once approved, you may then convert it to an Indefinite SIRV by finalizing your investment and submitting additional documents to the Board of Investments (BOI) before the initial visa expires.

9G Pre-Arranged Employment Visa
You can live and work in the Philippines legally with the 9(G) Work Visa or the 9G Pre-Arranged Employment Visa (Commercial)—the most common employment visa for foreign workers hired by companies licensed to operate in the country.
Eligibility. If you’re a foreign national seeking employment in the Philippines, then it is mandatory for you to obtain this company- and position-specific work visa, provided that there is no qualified Filipino worker interested or available for the role.
Benefits and Privileges. With the 9G work visa, you can enjoy multiple entry privileges, work and stay in the country for the duration of your employment contract, open local bank accounts, and even buy property like a condominium.
9G Work Visa Requirements. To apply for the 9G work visa, you need to submit key documents, such as a joint letter from your employer, your employment contract, company tax and registration documents, Alien Employment Permit (AEP), valid passport and visa, and completed forms.
Visa Application Process. You must first secure a job offer and an Alien Employment Permit (AEP) for the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). Afterwards, you need to submit your application to the Bureau of Immigration (BI), pay the required fees, and attend a hearing with biometrics capture. Once approved, you may then present your passport for visa stamping and issuance of the ACR I-Card.
Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Visa
If you’re a foreign national employed by a company within a PEZA-registered ecozone, then you can qualify for the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Visa granted under Section 10 of R.A. 7916, as amended.
Eligibility. You may qualify for the PEZA Visa if you work for a company registered with PEZA or BOI, are employed under a government agreement, sponsored as an exchange scholar or trainee, or have presidential approval—provided that you have no derogatory records in your home country or any country you’ve lived in over the past five years.
Benefits and Privileges.. While the PEZA visa is only valid for two (2) years, you and your qualified dependents can be exempt from registration requirements of BIR, permits, and clearances, and can have multiple-entry privileges.
PEZA Visa Requirements. As part of your PEZA visa application, you need to prepare and file your documentary requirements, which typically include application forms, the company’s letter request addressed to PEZA, PEZA registration certificate, employment contract, and Alien Employment Permit (AEP), among others.
Visa Application Process. Your PEZA-registered employer will apply for your PEZA visa. PEZA will then decide within five working days, and once endorsed, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) will convert your visa, after which you will receive a PEZA visa card.
Special Visa Employment Generation (SVEG)
You can qualify for the Special Visa Employment Generation (SVEG) if you’re a non-immigrant foreign national aiming to create jobs for Filipinos through a legal and sustainable local business.
Eligibility. To qualify for an SVEG, you must engage in a viable business that employs at least 10 Filipinos, demonstrate intent to stay in the Philippines indefinitely, hold management authority, and pose no risk to national security.
Benefits and Privileges. Once approved, your SVEG visa entitles you to multiple-entry privileges and conditional extended stay in the country, both which also extend to your dependent spouse and unmarried children.
SVEG Requirements. To apply for the SVEG visa, you’ll need to provide key documents, such as completed application forms, a confirmation letter confirming ten (10) regular employees, clearances, and proof of investment.
Visa Application Process. Once your documents are ready, you may already file your visa application with the Bureau of Immigration (BI), pay the required fees, and attend the hearing and biometrics capture. After approval, you must submit your passport for visa implementation and claim your ACR I-Card.

You can live with your Filipino spouse in the Philippines through the 13A Spouse Visa—officially called the 13(A) Non-Quota Immigrant Visa by Marriage, which is granted to foreign nationals who are legally married to Filipino citizens (including qualified minor children).
Eligibility. To qualify for the 13A Spouse Visa, you must be legally married to a Filipino citizen, have no criminal record, demonstrate financial capacity, gain BI authorization, and come from countries with reciprocity agreements with the Philippines.
Benefits and Privileges. Your 13A Visa grants you permanent residency without renewal, exemption from work permits, the ability to open bank accounts, invest and own property, work legally without restrictions, and access basic services like education and healthcare.
13A Spouse Visa Requirements. To apply for the 13A Spouse Visa, you’ll need to submit key documents such as completed application forms, a joint letter request with your Filipino spouse, your marriage certificate, immigration clearances, and proof of filiation for your dependent children.
Visa Application Process. You must complete the required documents, submit your application to the Bureau of Immigration (BI), attend the interview and biometrics capture, pay the fees, receive a one-year 13A Probationary, then apply for 13A Permanent Residency visa before it expires.
Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)
If you’re not eligible for the 13A Spouse Visa due to the absence of a reciprocity agreement between your country (e.g., India) and the Philippines, then you can qualify for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) that offers almost the same visa privileges.
Eligibility. To qualify, you must have a valid marriage with a Filipino citizen, no criminal record, be financially capacitated, and be authorized to enter the country. You can also include your unmarried children or dependents under 21 years in your visa application.
Benefits and Privileges. Your TRV grants you indefinite residency with renewable five-year terms and other privileges under the 13A Spouse Visa, such as the work permit exemption, access to financial services, rights to invest and own property, unrestricted employment, and access to basic services.
TRV Requirements. Your TRV application typically requires application forms, joint letter requests, marriage certificates, clearances, and other proof of filiation for your dependents.
Visa Application Process. Like the 13A Spouse Visa, you just need to file your application with the Bureau of Immigration (BI), attend the interview and biometrics capture, and pay the required fees. You will also receive a one-year TRV and may apply for a five-year extension before it expires.
Permanent Resident Visa (PRV) by Marriage for Chinese Nationals
If you’re a Chinese national married to a Filipino citizen, there’s a perfect immigrant or spouse visa offered under Memorandum Order No. MCL-07-021 that can grant you permanent residency in the Philippines—the Permanent Resident Visa (PRV) by Marriage.
Eligibility. To qualify for the PRV, you must be legally married to a Filipino, have no criminal or health issues, show financial capacity, and possess a valid BI-issued tourist visa if applying in-county.
Benefits and Privileges. As a PRV Visa holder, you can enjoy lower living costs, multiple-entry privileges, employment opportunities with AEP exemption, limited property ownership, and easier cultural and language integration in the Philippines.

13G Non-Quota Immigrant Visa
If you’re a natural-born Filipino who has migrated and become naturalized in another country but now wants to reconnect with the Philippines and regain your residency rights, the 13(G) Non-Quota Immigrant Visa offers you a clear path to return and stay in the country permanently—without the need for frequent renewals.
Eligibility. To be eligible for the visa, you must be a natural-born Filipino with foreign naturalization, have no criminal record, and intend to reside permanently in the Philippines.
Benefits and Privileges. With the 13G Visa, you are granted permanent residency in the Philippines, allowing you to live, work, own property, sponsor dependents, apply for dual citizenship, and enjoy lower fees and fewer visa reporting requirements.
13G Visa Requirements. To get started, you need to prepare and file some documentary requirements, which typically include visa application forms, PSA-authenticated birth certificates, clearances, medical certificates, and naturalization certificates.

Special Resident Retiree’s Visa (SRRV)

Eligibility. To qualify for the SRRV, you must be at least 50 years old, maintain the required investment (depends on SRRV type), and have a legally married spouse and unmarried children under 21 as dependents—all without renouncing your citizenship.
Benefits and Privileges. As an SRRV Visa holder, you are entitled to permanent residency in the Philippines, along with multiple-entry privileges, tax exemptions, opportunities for limited business and employment, qualified property ownership rights, and a range of additional benefits.
SRRV Requirements. To process your SRRV application, you’ll need to submit documents that vary by SRRV visa type (e.g., SRRV Smile, SRRV Classic, etc.) but usually include application forms, clearances, a medical certificate, a bank certificate of time deposit, and proof of lifetime pension.
Visa Application Process. You must submit your complete documents for pre-evaluation to the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA), schedule an interview, wait for endorsement to the Bureau of Immigration (BI), and finally attend the oath-taking ceremony.
13 Quota Immigrant Visa
You can also obtain the 13 Quota Immigrant Visa, a special visa that grants permanent residency, if you’re a foreign national from a country that offers reciprocal immigration privileges to Filipinos.
Eligibility. To qualify for the 13 Quota Immigrant Visa, you must have exceptional qualifications, like advanced education, technical expertise, or unique experience, that can contribute to the Philippines’ economic, social, or cultural development, with only 50 visas granted per nationality each year.
